Gift Guide for the Cook

Use this gift guide to find the perfect gift for the cook in your life!

Looking for that perfect gift for the cook in your life?

As always, I do recommend homemade gifts for your loved ones, but I’ve created a great gift guide if you want to purchase them something special. I’ll be honest, I hate going to stores to find gifts. I can’t look at ratings so I’m shopping blindly, I lose my initial idea because of the overabundance of stuff catching my eye, and the crowds…I hate crowds. It’s so much worse during the holiday season. Enter online shopping. So much easier. Plus I can shop late at night in my PJs if I wanted to. Win-win.

Below are a few of my favorite products I use daily or at least multiple times a month. I’ve found them all valuable in either saving time, cooking up amazing meals, or simply serving me well in the kitchen.

What are some of your favorite kitchen gadgets? Let me know in the comments down below!

The links below are affiliate links. This means that I may receive some commission at no additional cost to you. All of these items I use personally and find them valuable. I would never recommend something I don’t approve of. Thank you for your support! It’s what keeps Apron Warrior alive!

The gift guide for those who love to cook!

The Instant Pot – Everyone’s favorite gadget. This guy will save you time and space in the kitchen and rock your food lovers world. You can make pretty much everything from the greatest hard boiled eggs, yogurt, stews, whole chickens, and even cakes. I’m working right now on making a bunch of freezer meals to put in it after I have baby #2. It honestly makes life easier.

Camp Chef Woodwind – Guys, this is my new favorite toy. Everything comes out amazing on this pellet smoker. I’ve made the best brisket, turkey breasts, and braided pork tenderloins on this. Pellet smokers smoke your meats (or pies or casseroles or whatever you’d like to make) while keeping a consistent temperature on the inside. This makes it easy for you to set and forget compared to the traditional smokers where you have to watch the internal temperature. I love, love, love this smoker.

Glass Meal Prep Containers – These little glass containers are fantastic for meal prep or for taking out on the go. They’re made of a hefty glass bottom that can go in the dishwasher and have a divider in the center to keep your food separate.

Glass Water Pitcher – I love this pitcher because it’s made of glass and stainless steel. I was frustrated trying to find a glass pitcher amongst all the plastic ones but finally arrived on this one. I’m so glad I did. Not only is great for keeping your water in your fridge for easy access, but it’s an infuser. Just throw your fruits or veggies into the container and add water and boom!

Garlic Peeler – Okay, I thought this was ridiculous when I first saw it, but this is a game changer. I love garlic, and I love using a ton of it. Peeling garlic can be a bit time consuming, and I’ve never gotten the “shake the jar and the skins come off” method to work. This thing works like a charm. You just stick your garlic cloves into the silicon and roll it on the counter and tada! 40 clove garlic chicken done in mear minutes!

Casserole Tote – When you go to parties and you’re bringing the goods, this tote is a wonder. I wish I had purchased one earlier because it’s made carrying all the dishes and keeping them warm/cold a breeze. It has two compartments and I’ve carried 5 things in it at once before. Oddly, I’m always receiving compliments on it from people. They had no idea an item like this exists. It does and it’s fabulous!

Vitamix – A prized kitchen appliance. I’ve had mine for about 5 years now and still use it constantly. I’ve made soups, smoothies, sauces, ice cream, ground nuts (though I wouldn’t recommend doing this without the grain/nut canister because it scratches the sides of the container), and a bunch of other things over the years. It’s a must-have in my kitchen.

Hummingbird Glass Straws – Love drinking from straws but don’t want to use plastic? These straws rock! They’re made from sturdy material and can be washed in the dishwasher. I use them every day and can never go back. Side note– in my opinion, glass makes drinks taste way better.

Vegetable Spiral Slicer – An easy and fun way to eat vegetables, this spiral slicer has multiple blades to give you different cuts. It’s a little awkward when you first start to use it, but once you get the hang of it, it’s pretty nifty. Make salads, soups, noodles, potato fries, or whatever you’d like!

The Big Berkey – The greatest water filter in the world. I love the Berkey because it’s portable, doesn’t rely on electricity, and makes water taste great. We’ve been able to take it with us the last three moves we’ve made and didn’t have to worry about setting up a new water filter system. Love it!

Hello!

Avatar for ApronWarriorI’m Carolann and I’m obsessed with food. Seriously, I live and sleep thinking about food. I’m on a mission to create doable, real food recipes
from scratch as well as living a more natural life style. I also believe that life should be celebrated and one of the best ways to do that is around a dinner table with friends and family (+ a game for some extra bits of laughter and edge of your seat competition). If you’re new here, I invite you to check out some of my favorite recipes or my story that lead me to real food.
